Frequently Asked Questions


1- When I click on the exec files yedit.exe or zedit.exe of the old version I obtain an error message or the sofware does not work :

You must click only on the files you want to edit which must be of the correct type : *.f for yedit and *.f90 or *.f95 for zedit . For that you must have the correct environment variables and the automatic opening of files.

2- Where are the list of the Fortran words and the colors of the coloring syntax :

These files are in the directory Yedit
for yedit the FORTRAN77 words are in the fortran77.def file and the coloring syntax in the yedit.don file.
for zedit the Fortran95 words are in the fortran95.def file and the coloring syntax in the zedit.don file.

3- Where are the files for the on line help :

For Windows

These files are in the directory C:\Yedit they are html help type files.
for yedit the working directory is yedit.chm which is a copy of the english yedit-en.chm or the french yedit-fr.chm
for zedit the working directory is zedit.chm which is a copy of the english zedit-en.chm or the french zedit-fr.chm

For Linux

These files are in the directory Yedit. You have only english on line help.
for yedit it is the yedit-Help directory.
for zedit it is the zedit-help directory.
